Opening to the New
Monday, July 14th, 2008What does opening to the new actually mean?
Opening to the new is about learning to connect with the feeling part of you. This is not your feelings as in being sad, or happy. This is a whole different place of learning to feel information through your body. If you have ever had an intuitive message, pay attention to where in your body you receive them. Some people find they get a tingling, or a feeling in their stomach, it can be different for every one. You will need to start to listen more to the body, this is important as it is where you will feel your messages. If your brain is always on over load and constantly in action, you will not be able to feel the information you need to. One has to learn to quiet the mind in order to listen with the body. This is where meditation is so important. I can’t stress enough right now how we need to learn to quiet the miind and spend time just listening.
One must be patient with them selves as it can take a bit of time to get good at this. You have been listening through your ears and brain for a long time.
It is important to know that your brain may find this practice silly, a waste of your time. Be aware of this and tell the brain that this is something new that you are choosing to do. You want to be the one in charge of your brain rather than the other way around. For many people the brain is in charge of the person. Start paying attention and see who is running your show. Is the brain constantly telling you what to do or how you should be? Do not be surprised by this, most brains have been in charge here for quite a while.
To regain control, you need to listen or hear what the brain is tellling you. You need to be consciously in the moment. The brain is a very tricky companion. It is able to get many things past our awareness. To be on top of this game, you need to be aware and open to what it is saying to you. When you find the brain telling you things that are not where you want to go, you will need to enter new data or information. The brain works best at changing when you put this information in the present tense, as though it is already happening. As the brain is rally literal and will take you at your word. If you state that you want to have or do something. You will still be wanting years from now whereas if you say I am, this is a clear message that you are currently doing this or creating this.
As you begin to regain control of your brain and get it to be quiet for periods of time, you will then be able to receive new information from the universal mind. The universal mind contains all that has ever happened in the universe, it has a great deal of information you may never have thought of. You must be open and accept there may be new ways to think or do things.
Begin today by practicing listening with your body and opeing your heart and mind.
State, ” I am open to receiving and accepting new information. I am willing to learn new ways!”
Then be patient with yourself, change can take a little time and practice. This is a whole new world that is opening to us.
May your journey be fun and enlightening,
Blessings, Janice
