Staying on Target
Tuesday, December 11th, 2007Hoiw does one stay on target with new beliefs, when the brain wants to drag you back to your old beliefs?
It is not always easy, even when we know what it is we want to believe, the old beliefs are very strong and are embedded in the unconscious mind.
It takes constant practice to create new beliefs, some being easier than others. Sometimes, we are challenging very strong beliefs. They may be family beliefs or societal beliefs, it is not always easy to choose to belief something the general population does not agree with or your family does not agree with.
It takes a person being strong and telling themselves over and over again that it is ok to believe what we choose to believe. We have the right to believe whatever we want, although it is still difficult if we are the only one on that path. It is a wise idea to surround yourself with people who are on a similar path. You can usually find them by way of the internet or courses that are available on like minded thinking.
We need to keep working on buildiing a community of like minded individuals, anything you can do to help with this is worthwhile. You will not only be helping yourself, you will be contributing to the transformation of this planet. The more of us that get together, the stronger our energy is.
One way I find to stay focused personally, is to read the beliefs I am working on. I try to do it 3 x a day but at least once in the day will assist you in moving forward. For particularily difficult ones, you may want to write them out and take them with you. Patience is also important, as sometimes it can take a great deal of time for the change to become second nature.
Be patient and keep working at it! You will succeed!
Love and light, Janice
